Campus Kindergarten is a rich community of families and staff located on the beautiful grounds of the University of Queensland. We offer Pre-Kindergarten (2.5-4 years old) and formal Kindergarten programs that are delivered by qualified teachers and meet the eligibility criteria set out by the Queensland Government as an Approved Kindergarten Program Provider.

Where Learning Comes to Life Through Play
For over fifty years, Campus Kindergarten has been a cornerstone of early childhood education in St Lucia. As a non-profit, community-based centre offering Pre-Kindergarten and formal Kindergarten programs, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children aged two and a half to five can learn and grow. Our experienced teachers and educators foster a love of learning through play-based programs, preparing each child for a successful transition to school. We invite families to discover our unique approach to early years education, where every child’s potential is encouraged to flourish.
Jacaranda is our Pre-Kindy room, catering to our younger children from 2.5 years of age. We offer a slow pedagogy with a focus on social and emotional wellbeing at the heart of our practice.
Banksia and Cottonwood are our kindergarten rooms where teachers and educators enable a supportive and enriching environment for up to 22 children per day per room.
From my first contact with the admin team and educators, the kindergarten has been first class in every way. To know that you can walk away from your child and trust they are in the best possible hands, is a miracle. The team work so hard to ensure the children are cared for and learn with the best possible approach and environment, whilst also making huge efforts to foster a partnership with the family. Thank you to everyone for everything you do, my child is flourishing under your care.

A fantastic kindy – so great that our second child will be joining as soon as he is old enough! Staff are excellent, caring, respectful, and outstanding at their jobs. Our first child is always happy to go to Kindy – she thoroughly enjoys her time there. There is a huge variety of activities and clear routines in place to help children learn and play. We are so happy that our child has a place at this Kindy.

We love Campus Kindy! Our daughter is always so happy when we say it’s a Campus Kindy day. The intentional planning that obviously goes into every day is very much appreciated and the natural environment that surrounds the kindy is such a rarity in preschools these days. There is always a sense of calmness when we arrive each day and all the teachers say hello when you walk in.
